Campaign for Fairer Votes

Yes

Liberal Democrat MPs, such as Bob Russell, have voted in Parliament to give people an opportunity to throw out the archaic First Past the Post system (FPTP).

Up and down the country activists are coming together to campaign to replace FPTP with the Alternative Vote (AV).

The way the current system works means that only voters living in marginal constituencies really have an impact when they vote, and that the value of a vote is shared unequally and unfairly across the population. In some cases, the value of a vote can be practically zero.
